Floral Frames & Botanical Scrapbooks

There are too many ways to press flowers, the key is the weight and the paper you use to wrap them, some people just place their flowers in a book and that’s totally okay. Just be aware that the pigmentation of your flowers may ruin those pages.

You can also find a flower pressing kit made out of wood with cardboard and thick paper that allows you to place multiple flowers on the same surface.

 

What happens if you don’t add enough weight?

Your flowers/petals will turn black or brown due to air exposure.

 

The longer you wait the better!

I recommend having them press for two to three weeks.

Time to check on them.

Please be very careful once you take them out, sometimes they are stuck on the paper and if you are not gentle their petals can break.

 

Store them.

You can store them in a box, dedicated just to pressed flowers. Recently I took a scrapbook and categorized all the flowers on clear plastic sheets, to avoid breaking them.

 

Time to create!

Let your creativity take over.

You can use them to decorate a cake (most of the flowers are edible)

You can also make jewelry with resin and cool molds, style your favorite photo using a lovely frame, make some artisanal paper, or even make the cover of a scrapbook!

During COVID we’ve been working, exploring, and learning so much with our flowers that we ended up launching so many products that we never could’ve dreamed of.

The aha moment!

We were like, OMG this is awesome!

Could you imagine having this as the cover of an album, or one of our photo booth scrapbooks?! That was the aha moment. We decided to launch a botanical series of scrapbooks.

It turns out, we fell in love with our scrapbooks, they look gorgeous and in a week they were sold out. Crazy!  Hard work pays off!

Since we are all about prints and photos, we want to highlight those memories with our flowers – your photo is telling a story and so do our flowers.
